You Rexy Thing

A couple of weeks ago, one of the Rex boys flew the nest and began dating an owner's rabbit, hoping to win his own girl and find a home. It all went rather well and now he has gone off to continue his plans for world domination elsewhere.

It would be nice to continue the stream of good luck with our bonds... I believe in miracles...

Hokey Cokey

In an effort to raise money and draw attention to the adoptable rabbits at the Rescue, I was planning to arrange a big song and dance number as entertainment for our many supporters.

One flaw in this plan is that rabbits are not well noted for their ability to follow the music. Something simple it had to be, which will now be demonstrated by our little furry overlord, Stockings.

You Scratch My Back...

Baby bunnies are naughty- confirmed!

Apparently cleaning out time is especially fun, when this strange new climbing frame appears in the doorway of their house and it is a race against time to get as many fluffy bottoms onto it before it manages to thwart all efforts! (The record, by the way, is three out of three...) But who knows why these little creatures deem it so important to subdue their rescue servants...

New Boys

When cleaning the aviaries Monday last week, imagine my surprise to find we'd been invaded by a trio of the most hideous little things known to Man. Yesterday they were not only a horrible distraction from my hard work but I ended up spending several minutes pinned to the floor of the hutch by two sitting on my back, who both decided my jumper didn't have enough holes in it.

It turns out, somewhat infuriatingly, that these little guys are the produce of not one whoopsie from a missexed pair, but two in a row. Caroline felt compelled to take the males from the latest litter to avoid a third generation accident.

They appear to have been the advanced scout party for baby bunnies, as a further four may be making their way onto the Blog in the near future!
