Dreams do come true

Some bunnies spend their entire lives in rescue, never chosen because they lack confidence with new people, aren’t seen as ‘attractive’, or have additional needs.

Rabbit Residence Rescue provides a sanctuary for these rabbits and aims to give them a life as close as they would get in a forever home as we can but for me it’s simply not enough.

On Sunday a miracle happened, Mully & Scully and Mimi & Tintin finally found their forever home!

I honestly never believed it would happen, but they’ve settled in well in their new home after spending 8 and 9 years in rescue!

It was a very bittersweet day for me as Mully and Scully have always been my favourites and the rescue will be a different place without Mully’s cheekiness, Scully’s gentle nose boops and Mimi not demanding head rubs and Tintin humping her with excitement at dinner times.

They will be greatly missed but have finally found the forever home every unwanted bunny deserves.

Mindy on the move?

Don't worry Mimi, your mum isn't moving in with you.

Sadly, it looks as though Mindy may have to remain on medication for snuffles for some time, so Caroline hopes to bond her with permanent resident, Google who recently lost his wifebun, Tinsel.

With a face as cute as this, I'm sure Google won't be able to resist.

A Fluffy Pair of Sleepers

Winter has been quite kind this year, especially compared to my memories of this time twelve months ago and a lot of snow. Even so, there have been a few mornings when dipping hands into containers of freezing cold water has been necessary or several layers of socks hasn't quite staved off nippy toes and sometimes you look at some of the occupants at the Rescue and are reminded of more snuggly times...

It's A Hard Life - Part 1

Being a bunny is an incredibly difficult occupation. There's all that eating to be done, not to mention pooping, digging, sleeping and being irresistibly cute. It's not surprising that after a hard day's work some of our little friends are utterly exhausted.
