Young Buns 6

Our little litter of six who came in a month or so back have featured on here a number of times already. They are such excitable and fun little characters, it's not difficult to get photo's of them looking interesting and adorable.

What's not been so easy is getting a group shot as when you go in their shed they are all over the place. But I wanted to show them all at once, so I've had a few goes with various degrees of failure. Then it occurred to me, there was an obvious solution:- take the photo's at breakfast time.

"OMG snacks! What's for breakfast??!!!"

"Wait, didn't we have these yesterday?"

Sorry guys, your tummies might still be a bit young for veggies! Luckily, every young bun loves these tasty baby pellets.

Amy tells me these guys are still without names. If anyone has any ideas for a theme or set of names we might not have used before, please let us know in the comments below or via the link to this post on our Facebook page! We never use a name twice, so have a look at the name cloud to the right on the blog to get an idea of what names and themes we've used before.

Thanks everyone!

  1. Frankly, our gang is not sure those little expressions come under the heading of "the look of love." Fortunately we have resolved your name crisis for you. There is Lucky, Luckier, Luckier Yet, Luckiest, Even Luckier, and of course Unbelievably Lucky. No need to thank us.

  2. Ahh they're too cute! How about pudding names? Cheesecake, brownie, creme brûlée, sorbet, tiramisu and profiterole :)

  3. With all their shading and spots, they remind me of painting techniques... perhaps a group of painters is in order? Seurat, Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Renoir, and Warhol?

    1. Thanks Chip, I think this is my favourite suggestion! We'll see if Caroline, Amy and the bunnies like it too!

  4. Chip, let's face it. We are looking at six Warhols.

  5. Okay, maybe there is a Jackson Pollock or two in there.

  6. Even though there are only 6 very cute buns you could go for 6 of the 7 dwarves names, like Happy, Sleepy, Grumpy etc. some of these names may match their personalities as well.

  7. Charlotte and Fanny (Jack Aubrey's two daughters), Rita (A lot of pets were cared for by rescues all over Texas after Hurricane Rita. We had two wonderful bunnies, and while they both had names, they were seriously bonded (probably because they were found floating on a board together in deep water), and we often just called them the Rita Rabbits. They were adopted into a wonderful forever home. Mishmish (not to be confused with mishmash) is Egyptian colloquial for Apricot. Wolfie and Rowdy.

  9. Wow, lots of great suggestions! Amy is collecting them all up from here and Facebook to go through them with Caroline and pick the best. With several other litters to name as well as this one, all these suggestions will be very useful! Thanks again everyone!

  10. If you have lots of litters to name it may be worth getting some fund raising out of it - have "Name The Litter" or "Name The Bunny" competitions and charge people a £1 - winner gets their chosen name for the bunnies. Good way of raising money at the same time as getting suggestions. Just an idea. Jennifer

  11. Jennifer, what a wonderful idea. Every pound could be a chance, like at a drawing for prizes.
