Compensation culture

Apparently the bunnies have been talking and they elected Stilton to tell me I need to ensure I post on the blog every day, no matter what else life throws at me as their adoring fans will miss out on the super cute photos and hearing about their exploits.

Apparently they also expect compensation for the lack of posts too and either parsley or fenugreek crunchies are considered acceptable!

I LOVE Meadow and Stilton but sometimes they can be such fusspots when it comes to which veg they think is worthy of being called breakfast...

"No, not that bit. Nope, nor that. You think I can't see that carrot at the back of the barrow with the tasty top still on it?! Hand it over, human! And sprinkle it with parsley!"

Rex It

However dedicated people are to their bunnies, however much they adore them, life moves pretty fast and even the best owners can experience unexpected changes to their circumstances that mean they are unable to keep them. Regardless of the current intake situation, RRR will always be here to welcome back former residents when necessary.

And with that in mind, today I arrived at the Rescue to see an old friend waiting for me! Not that he seemed that pleased to see me...

"Meh. I don't mind coming back, but I was at least hoping I'd still have a TV."

And of course he brought back Mrs Pleased-To-See-Me with him...

"I'm just hoping the menu has improved since we've been away. We are accustomed to the best of the best now, dontcha know!"

Bunnies, eh? Feel the love and appreciation just emanating from those little velvet bodies...

Love and Rex

If I were to have adopted another pair of rabbits after Whisky passed away, top of my list without question were our beautiful Rexes Meadow and Stilton. I love them to bits. Sure, they have the odd gunky eye problem, but they are right little characters and very photogenic - they would have been perfect sources for the sort of lazy/crazy Sunday posts Whisky always provided us with here on the blog.

Now as a volunteer, once you make that connection with rabbits at the Rescue, it can be all the more saddening to see them there every week without a family of their own. Well no more, for I am pleased to announce that on Saturday they went to a new home, where their new human parents seemed as excited about their arrival as could be.

Good luck in your new family guys! We look forward to hearing about all the mischief you get up to once you have settled in!
