Somebuns got their brave pants on

Eta and her brother David are probably our shyest rabbits with the exception of our wildie crosses.

Recently they got the chance of moving into a large aviary.

After a couple of days of being very frightened and refusing to come out of the hutch or rabbit tower, Eta has decided she really quite likes the aviary and even runs up to greet people now.

She said, he said...

I think Flair and Fella are playing Chinese whispers, wonder what they're talking about?

I'm so excited...

Cookey's so excited & he just can't hide it as he has been reserved!

Fingers crossed the bonding goes well and then he'll be off to his forever home very soon :)

Just can't wait...

Picollo, just can't wait for the weekend to begin as he's got some visitors coming to see him and they might offer him (& Latte a forever home, paws crossed).

I don't think he can see them yet....

Bunny Butt Friday

When will I be famous?

Egg is actually going to be famous.

She and mum Nebraska will be featuring in an article on the rescue in a local magazine.

The exception to the rule

So we all know 99.9% of rabbits don't like being picked up. In all my years of having rabbits and being involved in rescue. I've only met two.

Is it a coincidence that they were rabbits who had both been single for a long time, probably not.

One of the rabbits is pictured above.

If ever there was a perfect rabbit, it would be Jasper. Jasper loves head rubs, he would climb onto your lap or up your legs until you picked him up. He loves a cuddle and will fall asleep in your arms.

Did I mention he's perfect. He never chews anything he shouldn't and he never misses the litter tray either.

Jasper loves his new home, he's completely free range and sleeps on his owners bed at night.

Being the worlds worst person at fostering I cried all the way from dropping him off to the rescue.

That was my first day volunteering at Rabbit Residence and also the day I first met Rose and Shadow (Miss Maple and Morse) and Claudia too.

Ain't no mountain high enough

I think little Burny Whiskers was a mountaineer in a previous life.

Like many rabbits he loves being high up, especially as it means he can see the snack barrow coming before Mod does.

Monday already

I can't believe it's Monday already either, Harper.  Sadly, for us humans it is.

Sebastian on a Sunday

 

Sebastian is becoming a fast favourite with all of the volunteers and staff and the rescue.

 

He's so big and so confident you can't help but take notice of him, especially as he's so appreciative

of all the head rubs and extra treats.

This week's Thursday fail features Thumbelina, who has been on a diet since she's been with us.

If this picture is anything to go by, the diet needs to be much stricter.

Hump day

This weeks hump day photo is of gorgeous Dutch rabbit, Piccolo.

Piccolo and his partner Latte were sadly returned to the rescue due to their owners illness so are on the look out for a new forever home.

I think under the circumstances, we'll forgive him for the grumpy face.

So it turns out Cookey's not a monster after all.

He's actually rather sweet, providing he has enough space and isn't handled roughly.

Based upon the number of holes he's chewed in the side of the shed, I don't think Marcel is too keen on his current accommodation!

Hiding out

Poor Ruben got a bit of a shock at the weekend when Margarita escaped and bit him on the paw.

 

 

 

Luckily, the only thing bruised was his ego.

Over Christmas, Skyla went back to Anna Hull at The Warren Bunny Boarding. 

Yesterday, she went off to what we hope will be her final forever home.

Name day

The baby bunnies have finally all been named!

The two black bucks have been named Forest and Fella, the orange and white doe is named Flutter, the blue doe, named Flair and the black and white doe is Folly.

So cute, but they're growing up so fast as they're now 5 weeks old.
