One of the key things we find ourselves trying to explain to new owners is how important hay is. It should make up around 80 percent of a rabbits diet, they should be eating a ball of hay about the size of themselves every day. This helps them to keep their constantly growing teeth in check and aids proper gut motility. They can also use it for bedding.
In order to emphasise just how important hay is, today we will skip the cute bunny pictures and just have a close up of a piece of hay, nothing but hay. Enjoy.
