Because a) he's a giant floofy rabbit with giant floofy feets and b) the photo was taken quite close up which effects the perspective. Not wanting to miss this shot, this was the last of about half a dozen pics of them I took as I crept closer, luckily he didn't stir, tho Boadicea was zonked too in the first few.
It's a great photo. I had no idea that the giant floofy feet of a giant floofy rabbit could be so captivating. Thank you for all you do, including the creeping around part.
